Katia Hintz

Hello! My name is Katia Hintz and I teach Summer music lessons as well as K-5 General Music and 6-8 Choir throughout the year. Music has always been a passion of mine ever since I was little. As I've gotten older, I'm not only still passionate about music, I'm passionate about helping others fall in love with the art of music as much as I have. I love working with people of all ages and I believe you are never too old to start something new!

My Experience

I received my Bachelor's of Music in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and am endorsed in PK-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music. I also recently graduated with my Master's Degree in Music Education. I hold a valid Nebraska Teaching License as well as a valid Substitute Teaching License. I have been performing and writing music for the past ten years and am heavily involved in worship ministry at Lifegate Church.

Favorite Moments

Right after I graduated High School, I got asked to travel to Serbia on a trip that would forever change my life. While there, I got to help teach children different instruments and how to work together in a band. Even though many of the children didn't speak English, something about the Universal language of music helped bring us closer together. It was this experience where I discovered my love for teaching music (and I even met my husband)!

My Family

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Drake Hintz, since 2019! We have two beautiful daughters, Eleanora (Nora) and Valerie. We are also expecting baby #3 in February, 2026! We are grateful for how God has grown our family.
