Sunday October 29, 2017 1PM Our quarterly meeting speaker will be Rich Holschuh.

Rich Holschuh will discuss the indigenous Abenaki presence in what is now northern New England and southern Quebec, with emphasis on Hinsdale and its environs in the heart of Sokwakik, the land of the People Who Separated. Focuses will be upon the people’s relation to the land, their interactions with European settlers, the cultural differences that led to conflict, and the efforts of the contemporary Abenaki to affirm their culture.
