collaborative art-making & textual excavation
Sundays, March 2 and 9, 11:30-2
1st UU Church, 298 W. Arbor Drive, San Diego 92103
Prepare to get a little messy! We'll be working with paint, glue, ribbons, glitter, spray bottles, ink, sharpies, crayons, and scissors to PLAY with the Purim text (The Book of Esther, all 10 chapters), printed on 10 white fabric panels, each with its own art-making-station. Together, we will transform the text, revealing new possibilities.
The resulting artwork-- a 10-part tapestry-- will hang at the church, creating a backdrop for the PURIM PARTY (see below).
Saturday February 22, 4 - 5:30pm
