Welcome to Jahera ("we", "our", or "us"), operated by Tumdah (admin@tumdah.com). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Jahera mobile application ("App"), how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
Jahera is a parenting and family habit-formation tool intended for use by adults (parents and guardians). The App allows parents to create personalised AI-generated stories as a habit-building ritual for their children. Parents control all accounts and provide any information about their children on behalf of those children.
We do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts or use the App independently. All data pertaining to a child (such as their name or age) is entered by a parent or guardian and remains under that parent's control.
Email address – used to create and manage your account
Password – stored as a secure hash; we never see your plain-text password
To personalise stories, parents optionally provide:
Child's first name
Child's age
City, region, and country (to contextualise story settings)
Profile avatar image (uploaded from the device's photo library)
Preferred language for story narration
Selected voice preferences (tone, style)
This information is stored securely on our servers and is used solely to generate personalised story content. It is never sold or shared for advertising purposes.

Story playback history and progress
Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. We receive anonymised subscription status and entitlement data (e.g., whether you are a free or premium subscriber). We do not process or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by the App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat.

We do not use your data for behavioural advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Jahera uses the following trusted third-party providers to deliver its features. Each has its own privacy policy and data processing terms.
We use Appwrite to securely store and manage your account, profile, and story data. Data is hosted on Appwrite's cloud infrastructure.

Story text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate realistic audio narrations. ElevenLabs processes the story text to produce audio and does not receive personally identifiable information about the parent or child.

RevenueCat manages in-app subscriptions and purchase restoration. It receives a hashed user identifier and subscription status but does not process payment information directly.

Jahera is built with Expo and React Native. Push notification delivery may route through Expo's notification infrastructure when reminders are enabled.

The App is distributed via Google Play. Google may collect standard distribution, device compatibility, and crash data. Refer to Google's policy for full details.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Specifically:
Account data – retained until you delete your account
Child profile data – retained within your account until you delete the profile or account
Generated stories & audio – retained in your library until you delete them or close your account
Crash logs – automatically purged after 90 days
Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
Hashed and salted password storage
Access controls limiting who can view user data
Regular security reviews of our backend infrastructure
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Jahera is operated by and for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All information about a child entered into the App is provided by a parent or guardian who takes full responsibility for that submission.
If you believe a child has independently registered an account or submitted personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at admin@tumdah.com and we will promptly delete that information.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access – request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction – update inaccurate or incomplete data (via in-app settings)
Deletion – request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
Portability – request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
Objection – object to processing based on legitimate interest
Withdraw consent – disable push notifications at any time in your device settings

Jahera is a global service. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our third-party providers (Appwrite, RevenueCat, ElevenLabs) operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses and provider certifications where applicable.
If you grant notification permission, Jahera may send you bedtime story reminders at times you configure. You can withdraw this permission at any time through your device's notification settings. Disabling notifications does not affect any other App functionality.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
