How Literature Shape Me After M.A. ?

We are very near to engaging in our academic journey at the department. After completing the study of literature throughout the five years it is necessary to look at the idea about our previous years. What do we believe about litarature? Are there any changes in my life after studying literature for five years?

When studying different styles or various types of literature at that time I learned how the language presented the vital role of spreading their language, culture, tradition or many rituals of their culture. In five years of the studying english literature that time ont only study of english literature but  i have to study Indian literature how they portrayed as indian tradition, culture also. Learning of the various literature which is not in one language and the writer presents what is happening in their own time and which events happen and how the people are suffering or how the people are looking this time when they happen. Which event or situation presented through their work. Many writers are very good at writing about the present situation on his/her work.  When I look at Indian Literature they presented their culture, tradition, or many rituals of their styles.

In Indian literature I study Rabindranath Tagore's novel The Home and the world. This novel is written in the Bengali language and translated into the English language. This novel's three characters played a vital role. In Akhilesh Sandeep and Bimla. Akhilesh took the modern education he gave to his wife Bimla to take education and Bimla took to education and she lived in the western style. Sandeep also takes the western education but he thinks about the Swadeshi movement and gives an idea of how to accept the Swadeshi thing.  But at the end of the novel many poor people are affected by their actions. In the novel I have to learn how this time of society works on that and how to Tagore ported as his work Home and the World novel.

Literature has the power to shape our understanding of the world around us by presenting us with different perspectives, experiences, and emotions. Literature, such as the classic novel "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, has the ability to shape our understanding of the world around us by presenting us with various perspectives, experiences, and emotions. Through the characters, themes, and plot of a work of literature, we can see how it can influence and shape our perceptions of society and culture. For example, "Pride and Prejudice" sheds light on the role of women in society and the constraints placed upon them by social norms and expectations. By examining the struggles of characters like Elizabeth Bennet, who challenges traditional ideas about marriage and gender roles, the novel encourages readers to think critically about the values and beliefs that shape our lives. Additionally, "Pride and Prejudice" offers insights into the importance of social class and wealth in Georgian England, highlighting the flaws in societal structures that favour the wealthy and powerful while demonstrating how individuals can overcome these barriers through personal growth and self-awareness. By engaging with literature, I can gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of the world we live in and develop the skills to navigate it with greater insight and empathy.

While literature can be interpreted and understood in many ways, it is often valued for its ability to connect us to others, foster empathy, and encourage critical thinking. Whether read for pleasure or studied as a discipline, literature plays an important role in shaping my understanding of the world and our place within it.
