Hello!

My name is Himanshu Setia. I am an Institute Post Doctoral Fellow at IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. I have completed my PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, Punjab, India, under the supervision of Dr. Manju Khan.  In past, I was  an M.Sc. student at University of Delhi (North Campus) and a B.Sc. student at Multani Mal Modi College (Punjabi University). 

My Research interest in algebra includes the study of representation theory of finite groups, unit group of group algebras, module theory, ring theory, theory of finite fields etc.

In addition to my passion for mathematics, I am a firm believer in Vedanta philosophy. I find the teachings and principles of Vedanta to be enlightening and empowering, and they have helped me develop a deeper understanding of the world around me. 

I am also a devoted listener of bhajans that promote love and devotion for GOD. I have a deep appreciation for sufi devotional music and find it to be a beautiful expression of spirituality.

In my free time, I also love to engage in various physical activities such as table tennis, badminton, cycling, and running. Staying active helps me maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve my overall well-being.
