We want to form an alliance with a sense of unity and collaboration among all stakeholders in Hikkaduwa (Sri Lankans, authorities, businesses, residents, and foreigners).

Together we can make a difference by submitting ideas to the decision makers, and by positively promoting Hikkaduwa ourselves.

1. Enhance the Reputation and Impression of Hikkaduwa: to improve the perception and image of our beloved beach town. Making Hikkaduwa renowned and admired once again, and becoming more competitive in front of the many new tourist areas in the Country, for the prosperity of Hikkaduwa’s population and the common good of all.

2. Promote Sustainable Tourism Growth: to support and initiate projects aimed at conserving Hikkaduwa's natural beauty, highlight it’s resources including beaches and marine life, to promote and protect Sri Lankan historical heritage, while identifying and developing more attractions and points of interest within the region.

3. Public Safety, infrastructure and waste management: To submit to Local and National Authorities suggestions, concepts or ideas, and, if they agree, to cooperate with them under their control, to enhance public safety and improve infrastructure (roads, public facilities) and waste management (to reduce environmental pollution).

4. Unity, Cooperation and events: To foster unity and cooperation, promote a sense unity and collaboration among stakeholders in Hikkaduwa (Sri Lankans, authorities, businesses, residents, and foreigners) through inclusive events and forums.

1. The Association is entirely non-profit and non-commercial, and shall refrain from any political and religious involvement.

2. Asks its members not to bring personal conflicts to the Association, but to work only for the common good of all with a solution-focused approach.
