Data Controller
The data controller for the High Time app is XVIIarcano, reachable at 3bqf0c0v2@mozmail.com.
Introduction
High Time is an Android application for tracking recurring household activities. This policy explains, simply and directly, what data the app processes and how.
In summary: High Time does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data externally. All data entered by the user stays on the device on which the app is installed, with a single exception: if Android's automatic backup is enabled, the operating system includes a copy of the app's data in the user's own Google Drive (see "Android Automatic Backup" below).
Where this policy describes how data is handled by Google (for example, Android's automatic backup), the description is provided for informational purposes only: those services are operated by Google, not by the data controller of this app, and Google may update its own terms and privacy practices at any time. For authoritative and up-to-date information, please refer to Google's own privacy policy. At time of writing, the official privacy policies by Google are available at policies.google.com/privacy
Data Processed
The app stores locally on the device, in text files (CSV format) within the app's private storage space:
names and properties of activities created by the user (intervals, deadlines, notes, categories)
app configuration preferences (language, color, text size, notification time)
any vacation/suspension periods set by the user
a local technical error log, useful only for diagnostic purposes (see below)
This data is entered voluntarily by the user for the app to function, and does not include any special category of personal data, unless the user explicitly chooses to enter such data in free-text fields (e.g., "notes").
No Transmission to Third Parties
High Time does not connect to the internet for its own purposes. There are no:
remote servers for the app
analytics, statistics, or tracking services
advertising or third-party services for advertising purposes
collection or transmission of data for profiling purposes
The app does not perform any user profiling.
Android Automatic Backup
High Time has no backup system of its own. However, like most Android apps, its data is included in the operating system's automatic backup: if the user has this feature enabled in their phone settings, Android periodically copies the app's data to the user's own Google Drive, so that it can be restored on a new device or after a reinstall.
Regarding this backup:
The copy resides in the user's own Google account, not in any archive belonging to the data controller: the controller has no access to it whatsoever.
The transfer and storage are handled entirely by Google, under Google's own terms of service.
The user can disable the feature at any time from the device's system settings, and delete any existing copies from the Google Drive settings.
Functions That Explicitly Involve the User
Some app features allow the user to voluntarily share their own data to destinations of their choosing:
CSV/ICS Export: the user can export their activities to a file, choosing whether to save it on the device or share it via apps of their choice (e.g., email, personal cloud). This sharing happens only upon explicit user action, through Android's system share sheet.
CSV/ICS Import: the user can import files from external sources (e.g., other calendars), selecting them independently.
In both cases, High Time has no visibility or control over what happens to the files after they leave the app: responsibility for the destination lies with the user.
Permissions Requested
The app requests notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS), used exclusively to show local reminders on the device related to deadlines set by the user. No data linked to this permission leaves the device.
The app also requests permission to schedule exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM), used only if the user enables the "Precise mode" for notifications, so that the reminder fires exactly at the time set; and permission to run at device startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED), needed to reschedule reminders after a reboot, which would otherwise clear them. Neither permission involves any transmission of data: both serve only to trigger local notifications on the device.
Local Error Log
In the event of a technical error while saving data, the app may generate a local log file (containing technical diagnostic information, not personal data) saved in the device's Download folder. This file stays on the device and is not automatically sent to anyone; the user is free to delete it at any time.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data remains stored on the device until the user manually deletes it from the app, or uninstalls the application (an event that triggers automatic deletion of all associated data, per standard Android operating system behavior).
If Android's automatic backup is enabled, a copy may however remain available in the user's Google Drive even after the app is uninstalled, until it is deleted from the Google Drive settings.
User Rights
Since the data remains on the user's device and the controller has no access to or copy of it, the rights of access, rectification, deletion, and portability can be exercised directly and independently by the user through the app's own functions (editing, deleting, exporting data).
