Youreka is a non-profit organization run by universities across Canada which provides research opportunities, mentorship, and networking for youth through their annual, 10-week competitive program to uplift our next generation of leaders and citizen scientists. High-school students conduct self-directed data-scientific research on campus in groups and are paired with an undergraduate student mentor from their local university. Upon completing the program and finalizing their scientific manuscript and poster, they compete at regional and national symposiums to share their findings.
If you are interested in conducting novel research with undergraduate students at UofT, please check out these slides for more information!
Deadline to apply is January 9, 2026.
