USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center
A biennial user-driven workshop focused on applications, research, and methods for measuring rivers and shallow water topography and features in high resolution.
Participants include users from academia, government, consulting, and industry, as well as vendors for sensors, instruments, and software.
Technology focus was initially multibeam surveying but has expanded to include lidar, photogrammetry and structure from motion, PIV, high-resolution velocity measurements, substrate classification, and other emerging river sensors and technologies. If your work deals with high-resolution data of river channels, this workshop is for you!
COVID-19 Note
The CDC community level for Boone County, Missouri is medium; masks will be optional indoors during the workshop.
The workshop is hosted by the River Studies Section of the Columbia Environmental Research Center.
