Highlight Sync（以下「本拡張機能」）は、ユーザーのプライバシーを尊重します。
本ポリシーは、本拡張機能が収集・利用・共有する情報について説明します。
■ 収集する情報
1. ハイライト・ノート関連
- ハイライトしたテキスト、そのページの URL・タイトル
- ハイライトに付けたコメント、フォルダー名、ページラベル
- ノート（リッチテキスト本文）
- 取り込んだ PDF ファイルおよびそのハイライト
2. 単語学習（Vocab）関連
- 保存した単語、意味（訳）、原文の例文、分野タグ
- 単語のソース URL・タイトル
- 学習履歴（クイズの正誤、ステージ進捗）
3. アカウント情報
- 匿名利用時: Firebase が発行する匿名 ID (UID)
- Google ログイン時: メールアドレス、表示名、および Firebase / Supabase が
発行する認証トークン
4. 決済情報（Pro プラン利用時のみ）
- ExtensionPay 経由の課金状態（有料 / トライアル / 無料）
- ※クレジットカード等の決済情報は Stripe が直接処理し、本拡張機能や
開発者がカード番号を保存・閲覧することはありません
■ 情報の利用目的
- 再訪時のハイライト復元、一覧表示・検索
- 複数デバイス間でのデータ同期
- 単語の間隔反復学習（SRS）と復習通知
- AI による例文・類義語の自動生成
- 選択テキストの翻訳・読み上げ
- Pro 機能の提供可否判定
広告・行動プロファイリングには一切利用しません。
■ 第三者サービスへのデータ送信
本拡張機能は以下の外部サービスを利用します。
1. Google Firebase (Authentication / Cloud Firestore)
ハイライト・ノート・フォルダー・PDF メタデータの保存と同期のため。
2. Supabase
単語・意味・例文・学習履歴の保存と、他デバイス（スマートフォンアプリ等）
との同期のため。
3. Anthropic (Claude API)（Supabase Edge Function 経由）
単語とその意味を送信し、学術的な例文・類義語を自動生成するため。
個人を特定する情報は送信しません。
4. Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com)
翻訳機能の利用時に、選択したテキストのみを送信します。
URL や ID は含みません。
5. Google Drive（連携を有効にした場合のみ）
ユーザー自身の Google Drive に、ハイライト・ノート等のバックアップを
保存します。データはユーザー本人のアカウント内にのみ保存されます。
6. ExtensionPay / Stripe（Pro プラン利用時のみ）
サブスクリプションの決済処理のため。決済情報は Stripe が管理します。
■ データの保存場所と保持
- クラウドデータ（Firebase / Supabase）はユーザーのアカウントに紐づけて
保存され、ユーザーが削除するまで保持されます。
- PDF ファイル本体はブラウザのローカルストレージ (IndexedDB) に保存されます。
- 認証トークン等はブラウザのローカルストレージに保存されます。
■ データの削除
- 各ハイライト・単語・ノートは拡張機能内でいつでも削除できます。
- アカウントおよび全データの削除をご希望の場合は、下記連絡先までご連絡ください。
■ 権限について
- storage: 設定・認証情報のローカル保存
- identity: Google アカウントでのログイン / Google Drive 連携
- notifications: 単語復習リマインダーの通知
- idle: 適切なタイミングでの復習通知
- contextMenus: 右クリックからのハイライト
- sidePanel: サイドパネルでのノート表示
- <all_urls>: 任意のページ上でのハイライト適用・復元
■ 児童のプライバシー
本拡張機能は 13 歳未満の児童を対象としていません。
■ 本ポリシーの変更
本ポリシーは予告なく変更されることがあります。重要な変更がある場合は、
本ページの最終更新日を更新します。

Highlight Sync — Privacy Policy

Highlight Sync ("the Extension") respects your privacy. This policy explains
what information the Extension collects, how it is used, and with whom it is
shared.
■ Information We Collect
1. Highlights & Notes
- Highlighted text, and the URL and title of the page it was made on
- Comments added to highlights, folder names, and page labels
- Notes (rich-text content)
- Imported PDF files and their highlights
2. Vocabulary Learning
- Saved words, meanings (translations), original example sentences, and
field tags
- Source URL and title for each word
- Learning history (quiz results, stage progress)
3. Account Information
- Anonymous use: an anonymous ID (UID) issued by Firebase
- When signed in with Google: your email address, display name, and the
authentication tokens issued by Firebase and Supabase
4. Payment Information (Pro plan only)
- Subscription status via ExtensionPay (paid / trial / free)
- Note: Credit card and other payment details are processed directly by
Stripe. The Extension and its developer never store or view card numbers.
■ How We Use Information
- To restore highlights on revisit and to display and search them
- To sync data across your devices
- To provide spaced-repetition (SRS) vocabulary learning and review reminders
- To automatically generate example sentences and synonyms using AI
- To translate and read aloud selected text
- To determine eligibility for Pro features
We never use your data for advertising or behavioral profiling.
■ Third-Party Services
The Extension uses the following external services:
1. Google Firebase (Authentication / Cloud Firestore)
To store and sync highlights, notes, folders, and PDF metadata.
2. Supabase
To store words, meanings, example sentences, and learning history, and to
sync them with your other devices (e.g., the companion mobile app).
3. Anthropic (Claude API), via a Supabase Edge Function
Sends a word and its meaning to generate academic example sentences and
synonyms. No personally identifying information is sent.
4. Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com)
When you use the translation feature, only the selected text is sent.
No URL or ID is included.
5. Google Drive (only if you enable the integration)
Saves a backup of your highlights, notes, and related data to your own
Google Drive. The data is stored only within your own account.
6. ExtensionPay / Stripe (Pro plan only)
For subscription payment processing. Payment details are managed by Stripe.
■ Data Storage and Retention
- Cloud data (Firebase / Supabase) is stored under your account and retained
until you delete it.
- PDF files themselves are stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB).
- Authentication tokens and settings are stored in your browser's local
storage.
■ Data Deletion
- Individual highlights, words, and notes can be deleted at any time within
the Extension.
- To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please contact
us at the address below.
■ Permissions
- storage: Local storage of settings and authentication data
- identity: Signing in with your Google account / Google Drive integration
- notifications: Vocabulary review reminders
- idle: Delivering review reminders at appropriate times
- contextMenus: Highlighting from the right-click menu
- sidePanel: Displaying notes in the side panel
- <all_urls>: Applying and restoring highlights on any page
■ Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for children under the age of 13.
■ Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated without prior notice. When material changes are
made, the "Last updated" date on this page will be revised.
