High Library Ekphrastic Poetry Contest

Welcome to the High Library's Ekphrastic Poetry webpage. You might be asking yourself, "What is ekphrastic poetry?" It is a poem that describes or is inspired by a work of art. This semester High Library will be holding an Ekphrastic Poetry Contest in which students can submit a poem based upon any work of art on campus. The submission should include an image of the work of art that you used for the piece. To submit your work please go to our Submission Page. The deadline for submissions is November 12, 2021. Questions can be directed to Josh Cohen at cohenjp@etown.edu. A selection of submissions along with photos will be posted on this website on the Poems page. The winner of the contest will receive a gift card to the campus bookstore.
