High Drive is formed of fiddlers Elizabeth Howe and Catherine Miller, cellist Ben Anderson, and pianist Susie Petrov. All seasoned performers and dance musicians in the Boston area, they had played in various combinations before coalescing into a band together. The quartet first assembled to play the Pawling Weekend hosted by RSCDS New York, and then played the Boston Highland Ball in 2025. They had so much fun that they decided to make the band official!
Their debut album, released in 2026, features compelling dances and superb tunes, many with connections to significant figures in the Boston Scottish dance community. Enjoy our fresh look at this music.
