Hifdh Recall — Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
Last updated August 12, 2026
Privacy Policy
Hifdh Recall doesn't collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer. Everything you set up — your reading progress, mistakes, stats, bookmarks, and preferences — stays on your device in local app storage. Nothing is uploaded to a server the developer controls beyond anonymous crash reports (see below), and there's no analytics or behavioral tracking of any kind.
Third-party content requests
To recite ayahs and show translations, the app fetches audio and text from third-party providers (including Quran.com/Tarteel's audio CDN, the EveryAyah/QuranicAudio mirror, and the alquran.cloud API) directly from your device. As with any internet request, those providers can see your IP address and which ayah/page you requested — the same as visiting any website. The developer does not receive or store this information.
Crash reports
If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, technical details (device model, OS version, app version, and the error itself) are sent to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, to help fix the bug. This never includes your reading progress, mistakes, bookmarks, or any Qur'an content you've interacted with — just the technical details needed to diagnose the crash.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to Premium, the purchase itself is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service — it receives an anonymous device ID and your purchase receipt, and reports back only whether Premium is active. The developer never sees or stores your payment details or purchase history, only that anonymized confirmation.
Children's privacy
This app doesn't knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children, since it doesn't collect personal data from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this app starts collecting data in a future update, this policy will be updated first and the "Last updated" date above will change.

Terms of Use & Subscription Terms
Hifdh Recall is free to use, with an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features (multi-select filters, full mistake tracking and history, similar-verses practice, tajweed coloring, the full reciter/translation library, custom stop conditions, extra Mushaf bookmarks, Guess the Surah, and Match the Translation).
Pricing & billing
Premium is offered as Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime. Monthly and Yearly are auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account at the price shown in the app (converted to your local currency by the store) until cancelled. Lifetime is a single one-time payment with no recurring charge. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial on the Yearly plan; unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the listed Yearly price.
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime from Settings in the app, or directly through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep Premium access until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their own refund policies, not directly by the developer.
Fair use
The app is provided as-is, for personal Qur'an study and memorization practice. Please don't use it in any way that would disrupt the service for other users or the third-party providers it depends on.
