This application is developed and maintained by "MD Developer Studio", which

1. OVERVIEW
HideMe: Calculator Lock ("the App") is an Android application that looks and
works like a calculator and lets you hide photos, videos, files and notes
behind a passcode.
The App has no user accounts, no servers of its own, and no cloud storage.
Everything you hide stays on your device. We do not receive, view, transmit or
store any of your hidden content.
2. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The following is created and kept only in the App's private storage area on
your phone. It is not sent anywhere.
- Hidden photos, videos, files and notes. These are encrypted with AES-256
before being written to disk. The encryption key is generated on your device
and held in the Android Keystore.
- Encrypted thumbnails used to display your hidden items.
- Your passcode, stored only as a salted SHA-256 hash. The passcode itself is
never stored.
- Your security question answer, stored only as a salted SHA-256 hash.
- An optional recovery email address, if you choose to add one. It is stored on
your device only and is never transmitted.
- Intruder photos, if you enable the Intruder Selfie feature. These are
encrypted and stored privately on your device.
- App settings and calculator history.
We have no ability to access, recover or decrypt any of this.
3. PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE USED
- Photos, videos and audio (media access): to show you the files you can choose
to hide, and to restore files to your gallery when you unhide them.
- All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): used only so that when you hide a
file, the original copy can be removed from your gallery or storage, and so
documents can be restored when you unhide them. Without it the App still
works; Android will simply ask you to confirm each deletion. This permission
is never used to read, collect or transmit your files.
- Camera: used only by the optional Intruder Selfie feature, which takes a
single front-camera photo if someone enters a wrong passcode. Photos are
encrypted and stored on your device only. No audio is ever recorded. The
camera is not used if the feature is turned off.
- Biometrics (fingerprint or face): used only to unlock the App locally. The
App never receives your biometric data; it is handled entirely by Android.
- Internet and network state: required to display advertisements, to process
the optional in-app purchase, to check for App updates, and to load pages you
open in the private browser.
- Billing: required to offer the optional one-time ad-free purchase.
4. ADVERTISING
The App displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google
may collect and process information such as your device's advertising
identifier, device and app information, and approximate location. This
processing is carried out by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's own
policies.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings
under Settings > Privacy > Ads.
You may remove all advertising permanently by purchasing the one-time ad-free
upgrade inside the App.
5. PURCHASES
The optional ad-free upgrade is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play
Billing. We never see or store your payment details. Google Play handles the
transaction and retains the purchase record. Refunds are handled under Google
Play's refund policy.
6. APP UPDATES
The App uses Google Play's in-app update service to check whether a newer
version is available. This is handled by Google Play Services.
7. PRIVATE BROWSER
The App includes a private browser. Browsing history is not saved and cookies
are cleared when you leave it. Websites you visit are operated by third parties
and are subject to their own privacy policies; we have no control over them.
8. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect nothing. The App contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no
tracking software, and no server of our own. We do not sell, rent or share any
personal information, because we do not receive any.
The only data leaving your device is the advertising and purchase data handled
directly by Google, described in sections 4, 5 and 6.
9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can:
- Delete individual items in the App, then empty the Recycle Bin.
- Clear the intruder photo log in Settings.
- Clear the App's data from Android Settings > Apps > Calculator > Storage.
- Uninstall the App, which deletes all App data.
IMPORTANT: Because the encryption key is stored in your device's Android
Keystore, uninstalling the App, clearing its data, or resetting your device
permanently destroys all hidden files. They cannot be recovered by us or by
anyone else. Please unhide anything you wish to keep before uninstalling.
10. CHILDREN
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not
knowingly collect any information from children.
11. SECURITY
Hidden files are encrypted with AES-256. Passcodes and security answers are
stored as salted SHA-256 hashes. The screen is protected against screenshots
and app-switcher previews by default. No security measure is absolute, and you
remain responsible for keeping your device and passcode secure.
12. YOUR RIGHTS
Because we do not collect or hold any personal information, there is no data
for us to provide, correct or delete on request. For advertising data held by
Google, please refer to Google's privacy policy linked in section 4.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this
page with a revised "Last updated" date.
