Southern Sass & Sisterhood
We’re kicking off our Southern Sass & Sisterhood weekend with an evening filled with thrift-store fun, laughter, good food, a beautiful Oklahoma sunset, campfire stories, testimonies, and a whole lot of sisterhood!
Goodwill Store & Donation Center
2210 W. Washington St.
Broken Arrow, OK 74012
Grab your sister and get ready for a thrift-store adventure!
But there’s a catch…
You don’t shop for yourself—you shop for your sister!
She’ll tell you her size, but YOU choose her outfit, and she chooses yours!
Outfit Budget: $15–$25
Shopping Begins: 4:45 PM
Shopping & Changing Complete: Approximately 6:15 PM
Search those racks and find something fabulous, fun, Southern, sassy—or maybe something your sister would never have thought to choose for herself!
Keep it modest, keep it kind, and don’t forget to add a little Southern Sass!
And remember—once your sister has picked your outfit, that’s your look for the evening!
Around 6:30–6:45 PM, we’ll leave Goodwill wearing our fabulous new thrift-store outfits and head to Abundant Rain for the rest of our evening together.
Our goal is to arrive around 7:00 PM, giving us time to settle in, enjoy the evening light, and take plenty of Styled by My Sister pictures before sunset.

Around 7:00 PM, the sun will be getting low in the western sky—a beautiful time for outdoor pictures and fellowship.
Sunset is expected around 7:37 PM, when we’ll pause and enjoy the Oklahoma sky together.
From approximately 7:37–8:02 PM, we’ll still have natural twilight as we gather around the fire and begin our campfire dinner.
Then, as the daylight fades and the campfire begins to glow, our evening will transition from sunset to firelight and from a little Southern sass into a special time of sisterhood and ministry.
Dinner won’t just be something we eat—it will be part of the evening’s experience!
We’ll gather around the fire for a true campfire-style meal, with favorites such as:
Hot dogs or smoked sausage roasted over the fire
Foil-packet potatoes
Baked beans
Corn
S’mores
There’s just something about good food, a warm fire, and being surrounded by friends that makes an evening special.
And, of course, we have to see what our sisters came up with!
After everyone has had a chance to show off their thrift-store creations, we’ll have a little fun with our Styled by My Sister Awards.
Will we discover the most fashionable sister in the group?
Or will someone go home with an award for the most questionable outfit of the evening?
Either way, we’re going to have some fun!
After dinner, as the sky grows darker and everyone settles around the campfire, we’ll begin Stories Around the Fire.
We’ll have a cowboy hat or mason jar filled with conversation and testimony questions, and each sister will have an opportunity to draw one.
Some questions might make us laugh:
“What’s something you did as a teenager that your mother never knew about?”
Others may take us a little deeper:
“Tell us about a time God answered a prayer when you needed Him most.”
We’ll laugh about the funny memories, remember the special ones, encourage one another, and share some of the moments when we’ve seen God working in our lives.
It will be a time to listen, laugh, encourage, remember—and get to know our sisters just a little better.
Because Southern Sass & Sisterhood isn’t really about the clothes.
It’s about sisters laughing together.
Encouraging one another.
Sharing our stories.
Celebrating what God has done in our lives.
And making memories together.
Good friends. Good food. Good laughs. Good stories. Good memories.
And maybe one very questionable outfit.
We’ll end our first evening together around the fire under the Oklahoma night sky.
Then, after an evening filled with laughter and fellowship, we’ll begin Saturday morning on a quieter note with our Sunrise Service—welcoming a brand-new day together and turning our hearts toward the Lord.
