Little did I know when I met Barbara and her son Travis on that August day in 2001, it would be such a blessing to have the McNeely's in my family`s life.
Barbara and I hit off right from the start and we became fast friends. I then met her husband Lynn (great guy, by the way!). Travis was a classmate of my daughter Ashley in their PPCD class at the elementary school in Mesquite. Fast forward to 2003 when we moved to Waxahachie and learned, to our surprise, that the McNeely family had also moved there not long before we did!
Hidden Miracles began in a previous location before moving to the Cowboy Church and we were there from the very beginning. My daughter Ashley has Down Syndrome, but since she already knew Barbara, Lynn, and Travis, we knew she would enjoy going there. And she still does to this very day!
Since Hidden Miracles’ relocation in 2007 to the Cowboy Church, it has been a wonderful "oasis" for parents/caregivers with special needs children and adults with intellectual disabilities too. We know when they are there they are loved and cared for, but mostly they will have so much fun socializing and participating in activities! The volunteers are so appreciated because they help with a willing spirit and love. Keep them in your prayers.
I can`t thank Jesus enough for Lynn and Barbara and especially Travis for all that they mean to me and my family. They truly have a love and sincere heart for the special needs and Cowboy Church communities. Please bless Hidden Miracles with your prayers and support and for the McNeely family too!

We were one of the first families that benefited from Hidden Miracles 20+ years ago. Before we found them, we had not been able to go out much without our special needs son and his younger brother. There were just not very many people we felt comfortable leaving our son with, but Barbara and Lynn truly understand what parents with special needs kids go through and the needs that these kids and their parents have. Their ministry allowed us to feel comfortable leaving our children with caring adults so that we could have a few hours a month by ourselves. The first Saturday of the month is always a day we look forward to!! It really takes someone with a special heart to want to give back to the community they support and they both have dedicated their lives to that. Barbara and Lynn have given our family a precious gift and meeting them has truly changed our lives in a very positive way.
Barbara and Lynn are truly an integral part to this community and have positively affected the lives of so many parents and their kids. Hidden Miracles has been a God send to our family for so many years now, but it never would have happened if it weren’t for the love and dedication of Barbara and Lynn McNeely.

Hidden Miracles blesses my heart as a volunteer because I get to see the pure joy and love when families come in to drop off their loved ones. It feels like coming home! Getting to spend time with the kids and adults playing games, coloring or singing at the top of their lungs is a blast. They are all so happy to see each other even if it's for a few hours. You can feel the love and see the appreciation from everyone, Barbara and Lynn, the volunteers, the families and participants.

Over 15 years ago when we joined Cowboy Church of Ellis County, I met Lynn and Barbara Mcneely when they were on stage asking for volunteers to help with Hidden Miracles, and it was like they were speaking to me. As a child I didn’t understand what having special needs meant, but I learned and have had the pleasure of helping each year since. What a blessing these kids are. I was even allowed for 4 or 5 years to help one on one with a young man, Nick, who now is a great friend along with his family.
When you see them each week, even though they have their own set of challenges, you wouldn’t know it. Their laughter, smiles are energizers for me for the week, and I look forward to Sundays to be with them. From watching movies with them, coloring, eating popcorn, doing crafts and just loving on them I have become a better person and I think they like me as well.
If you are looking to get involved with the church, and a great ministry, this is the one for you. Even if you have never worked with Special needs kids, we can teach you. Just be prepared to have your life and heart changed. I know mine has been.
