This episode was very rooted in Karla’s experiences as a teenage mother, her passion for the retail industry and her experience becoming a more inclusive boutique. We speak about her transition between running a store for someone else and how the closure of the store she worked at pushed her to do For Ceilia full time. She mentions a lot of great experiences but the one that stood out has to be her experience with a customer that propelled her to be the change she wanted to see and have more brands with size inclusivity.

For those who don’t know, a doula is a healthcare professional who provides emotional, physical and informational help during pregnancy, childbirth and even miscarriages.

We then get into his post grad where he begins his journey to become a notary. The most fascinating part was that to become a notary you only have to be 18, pass a literary exam and follow the protocol towards getting licensed. Angel also opened up about some of his future goals.

He also talks about the uncertainty he felt being a musician and the pressures that society placed on him to go to college. He continues by giving advice to other musicians out there, aspiring musicians or those in their humble beginnings.

I talk to Sarita, the founder of Sarita Wellness, a life style coaching brand.We talk abut how she experienced being adopted and shifted from life in El Salvador to living in Missouri with her white American mother. She opens up about the effects of the experience. Through identity struggles, she was eventually able to use that experience to begin her own coaching business that helps others heal from those shifts in identity. We end on tips that Sarita has in regards to being a coach, how she started and advice she has for other wanting to coach.
