Hidden Camera Scan Detector Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hidden Camera Scan Detector mobile application provided by AtaForge ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Hidden Camera Scan Detector is an assistive scanning tool that helps you inspect your surroundings for potentially suspicious electronic devices using a combination of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EMF, infrared, audio, and network-traffic detection methods, together with a manual inspection checklist.
HiddenGuard is not professional security equipment. Detection results are indicative, not conclusive. Environmental factors and the hardware capabilities of your device may significantly affect accuracy. The App does not replace the services of a licensed security professional or law-enforcement authority.
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in most countries) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
To use most features of the App you must create an account by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
You may have up to three active sessions per account. Signing in on a fourth device automatically signs out the oldest session.
Hidden Camera Scan Detector offers one free full scan per account. Beyond that, the following auto-renewing subscriptions are available, billed through Apple or Google:

Local prices in your region may differ in line with Apple's or Google's pricing tiers. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You may cancel any subscription from the App Store (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; previously paid amounts are not refunded.
Refunds, where available, are handled exclusively by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. AtaForge does not process refunds directly.
Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Deleting your account or uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the relevant store.
You agree not to:
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its outputs without our written permission.
Use the App to harass, surveil, or unlawfully monitor any person.
Use the App in any environment where its use is restricted by law (for example, secure government facilities) without proper authorization.
Interfere with the App's security features (certificate pinning, session limits, etc.).
Use the App to bypass paid or restricted services.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including any laws regarding the detection of wireless devices.
The App, including its code, design, brand, logos, and content, is owned by AtaForge and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The hardware-identifier ("OUI") database displayed inside the App is derived from the publicly available IEEE MA-L registry and is used in accordance with its published terms.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AtaForge disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and reliability.
Without limiting the foregoing, AtaForge makes no warranty that:
The App will detect every hidden device in your environment.
The App will not produce false positives or false negatives.
The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
If you believe you are under unlawful surveillance, contact local law enforcement. Do not rely solely on the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AtaForge and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or your use of the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AtaForge from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use or misuse of the App, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason, including if you breach these Terms or pose a security risk to our service or other users.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from in-app Settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
We may update the App at any time, including by adding, modifying, or removing features. We may update these Terms by posting a new effective date at the top. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after the new effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Istanbul will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that you may also bring small-claims actions in your local courts where required by law.
EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the country of their habitual residence.
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store:
These Terms are between you and AtaForge, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
You and AtaForge acknowledge that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to the App and may enforce them against you.
In case of failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price; otherwise Apple is not responsible for any warranty claims.
If you obtained the App through Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service additionally apply.
