Our History
We are a co-author team that initially began building a friendship and writing stories together in 2011. Eventually, that friendship grew into a romance, and in the fall of 2014, we tied the knot! Our first Wattpad story went public on the platform four years later, and in 2021 we were invited into the Wattpad Stars Program.
How We Write Together
Splitting up our casts of characters between us, we strive to authentically represent diverse individuals from a third-person omniscient POV, allowing us to preserve each character’s unique voice and personality. This also enables our stories to host a wide range of well-developed supporting and side characters.
While most of our stories are works of fiction, we have a deep love for history and realism, and strive to create works that feel grounded and realistic. We always want our readers to be able to see themselves or someone they know in the stories we write.
Alix
(The Heart)Younger by a few days, Alix primarily handles the more social side of things, networking, research, editing, and graphic design. He volunteers at STARR(School for Therapeutic and Recreational Riding) Farm and became a board member for the program in 2019. Aside from writing and reading, he loves gardening(indoors & out), camping, video games, and has gotten pretty decent at horseback riding.
Nick
(The Brain)The older and more analytical of the pair, Nick focuses most of his time on story pacing, plot development, and organization. He thrives handling the technical side of things! Nick also volunteers at STARR Farm and works at a locally owned Christmas tree farm in the fall. He enjoys rock music and visual media, as well as camping and the great outdoors.
CASCADE
The newest member of the family is our 10-month-old German Shepherd, Cascade (Aka, Cade). He enjoys a lot of attention, playing fetch and tag with his dads, and pestering Donut. He always has a smile on his face and is happy to tag along wherever we go.
PRINCESSDONUT
Our sweet and proper princess is 15 years old and is our OG fan. She loves story time, sleeping, and being pampered. She tolerates Cade living in her house along with us loyal subjects too, (Who else would she snuggle with?) and prefers to remain in her castle where she can keep a tight reign on her kingdom.
BUDDYPANDA
[2006-2020] Panda was Donut’s goofy, adventurous, talkative brother. He lived to the age of 14, and we miss him dearly, even though the rabbits and birds outside are probably a little safer now.
DOOBER
[2006-2019] Doober was our 13-year-old German shepherd. We adopted him from the county shelter after he was surrendered by his elderly owner, who was unable to continue caring for him after her husband passed away. He was the best doggo, and we were honored to have had him through his golden years.
About STARR
The STARR Program provides physical therapy and fun (on horseback!) exclusively to children living in our area with special needs. As a nonprofit organization, it's run and managed entirely by volunteers and is only made possible through donations from our amazing community.
