Purpose: form an alliance between parents and staff to create an environment of racial and ethnic inclusion and diversity for all of our Hiawatha & Howe families.
Mission: we commit to demonstrating our value of anti-racist policies and practices that lead to racial equity through our PTO activities, events, and resource support. We will partner with students, families, teachers and staff to ensure our activities and resources support and uphold the values of racial equity and justice.
Goals

Purpose: to enhance, promote and support arts enrichment and the Arts Specialists at Hiawatha and Howe campuses. In the past the Arts Committee has partnered with our Music, Arts and Phy Ed Specialists to bring Artist in Residences to our schools.

Purpose: to plan, plant, and do shared maintenance at the community garden at Howe school
Purpose: to build an inclusive culture of walking and bicycling at Hiawatha and Howe by making it safer, easier and more fun to walk and bike
