Tack is required to ride a horse and to participate in arena events. It can also improve your horse’s abilities.

Example: If your horse has 400 genetic points in speed and you’ve trained it 100 points in speed, the horse’s base speed stat will be 500, genetic plus trained. If you put a saddle on with 10% speed bonus, the horse’s speed stat for competitions will be 550.

500 x 10% = 50.
500 x 15% = 75.
And so on, you just add the number you get to the horse’s base speed stat.
All tack bonuses are added to the base stat separately.

If saddle pad gives a 10% bonus, the horse’s stat for competitions will be 550(with saddle) + 50 = 600.

500 + 75 = 575.

Decoration Tack

Decoration tack includes items to customize your horse and is not necessary to ride a horse. It includes mane decors, boots, blankets and hats.

Mane Decors: You can apply flowers, dice, ribbons and other items to your horse’s mane.
Boots: Your horse can wear boots and polo wraps.
Blankets can be put on horses if they’re not wearing saddles or saddle pads.
Hats: Horses can wear a wide variety of hats. Fake unicorn horns can also be placed on the horse’s forehead.

Riding Bareback

It is possible to ride without tack. To ride bareback and get the bareback award, player needs to have 5000 experience points, and the horse needs to have 1000 experience.
