Call For Papers

Focus of Health Informatics is very different and will include topics on e-health, electronic patient records; knowledge management, data and text mining and analytics; support for clinical decision-making, evidence-based practice, prediction; healthcare applications of mobile (mhealth) and pervasive digital technologies; applications of social media technologies and services; telecare and telehealth; security and confidentiality of health care data; modeling of healthcare service usage, evaluation and use of healthcare IT, barriers and enablers to adoption, design and development methodologies, innovations and future developments in healthcare technologies and applications etc.

The topics in scope for Health Informatics is quite wide and multidisciplinary. We propose to include all the important topics in Health Informatics in this track in order to cater to a wider audience. The following list includes some of the major topics that we plan to focus in this track in this year.

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions will be handled in electronic format, using START system via the website: http://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2022/ . The author(s) name(s) and address(es) must NOT appear in the body of the paper, and self-reference should be in the third person. Only the title should be shown at the first page without the author's information. All papers will be fully refereed and undergo a blind review process by at least three referees. The conference proceedings will be published by ACM. Hence, all accepted papers should be submitted in ACM 2-column camera-ready format for publication in the symposium proceedings.

Journal Publication of Selected Papers

The extended versions of selected papers from all categories will be considered for publication in the ACM/SIGAPP quarterly Applied Computing Review or one of the other participating SIGs' publications.

Registration:

Paper registration is required, allowing the inclusion of the paper/poster in the conference proceedings. An author or a proxy attending SAC MUST present the paper: This is a requirement for the paper/poster to be included in the ACM/IEEE digital library. No-show of scheduled papers and posters will result in excluding them from the ACM/IEEE digital library.

Paper submission: October 15, 2021

Acceptance notification: November 20, 2021

Camera-ready copies: December 21, 2021
