Liz Grauel (she/her) is a software industry professional and Dominican University student, where she is studying for her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science. Her studies are focused in social justice and community informatics, and she created this site as part of a Health Informatics course.
Liz became an advocate for lung cancer research and advancements in treatment during her mother's diagnosis and treatment for NSCLC. Mary Grauel died in 2016 at the age of 52 and was selflessly engaged in clinical trials for immunotherapy drugs which have since become approved for first-line treatment of lung cancer with promising improvements to the survival rates and quality of life for lung cancer patients of today.
