What is Science Olympiad?
Science Olympiad teams consist of 15 members competing in an array of events. Each member works on up to 5 events and will compete in each to help the team win. Every event focuses on a certain aspect of science including physics, chemistry, and biology. If you're interested in doing a certain event, make sure to fill out the event placement survey at the beginning of the year. Science Olympiad requires a lot of commitment, but it can be very rewarding.
Resources for Science Olympiad:
The Science Olympiad website contains a wealth of resources about every event. You can find past exams, power points, and even step-by-step tutorials for building events:

The Science Olympiad Wiki has in depth info on most events. Mostly these resources are useful for building events, but can be helpful for testing events too:

This Google Drive contains some information for binder events, such as Fossils and Astronomy. As it is outdated, we are currently creating new binders.
It's also really important to know how significant digits work because if an answer is not completed in the proper format, then it will be marked incorrect. Make sure to understand significant figures before the first competition.
Make sure to read through your rules before you begin to prepare for your events!
INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIADS
International Science Olympiads are tests taken individually in certain subject areas. Top performers in each test move on to the next round. Those who progress far enough are invited a National Camp prior to the final competition, at which time winners are invited to the international competition. These events are extremely difficult and require serious dedication, but success can be a serious asset on college resumes.
