Assemblymember Bloom spoke and took questions from Mr. Milton's AP Economics class as well as to present the library with a $5,000 check to purchase library books. Principal Dr. Mary Reid also attended the event.

In conjunction with Yallwest and the Santa Monica Public library, the YA author Adi Alsaid and the publisher from MacMillan Erin Stein spoke to some of the TCA students in the library. Erin discussed a variety of careers that students could pursue in publishing. Adi spoke about how he became a YA author and his new book North of Happy. All the students that attended received a free copy of the Adi's book courtesy of Yallwest.
