Dress up day participation earns points for each grade level based on the level of participation! Help your grade out by planning ahead and participating in the fun!
Hallway Decorating is for all students to participate in. The students work on preparing decorations and plans for their hallways that correlate with their grade level theme. On Sunday, October 5 @4 pm the students are given an hour and a half to decorate their hallways. At 6 pm the judges come in. This is part of the bigger points competition for the week.
On Friday, October 10, before the football game we have a community wide parade. The parade features local clubs, elementary groups, the grade level floats, the Homecoming Court, and the parade Grand Marshall. Float judging will take place at 4:00 pm before the 5:00 pm parade lineup.
Float building schedules will be accessible on the Grade Level websites. From September 15-27 all students are welcome to participate in designing and building their Homecoming float. Floats are given points that will be added in for the overall grade level competition.
The Junior and Senior girls compete in a game of flag football. They are coached by varsity football players and compete to earn points for their grade. The underclassmen are assigned a grade to cheer for and get points based on which team wins. Students wishing to participate can sign up in the athletic office. Tuesday, October 7 @ 7 pm.
Following the Powderpuff game a bonfire with donuts and cider is provided for the students on the practice baseball field. It is a fun opportunity for students to hangout.
The Homecoming Dance takes place Saturday, October 11 at 7 pm. It is being hosted at the Hastings High School. Tickets will be sold at all lunches, and dance guest forms are required for any guest outside of Hastings High School Students.
Join the Saxons Friday, October 10 @ 7pm for the annual Homecoming Football game against Harper Creek. Enjoy the half time show entertainment with the marching band and the announcement of this years King and Queen!
Friday afternoon the High school student body will participate in a fun outdoor pep rally to get ready for the football game and to play in more games for class points.
