Ice Cream Social
The Ice Cream Social is an event hosted each year after school for new and returning members of FCCLA. It is meant to encourage people to join FCCLA and to allow chances for old members to get to know the new members. It also provides an opportunity for chapter officers to explain what FCCLA is and how to be involved.
Club Rush
Hosted by Hillsborough High School each school year, Club Rush is an event where nearly every club has a table set up on the Red Carpet outside the cafeteria. Club Rush is meant to provide information on the various clubs at HHS, and it allows our chapter of FCCLA to recruit members. Club Rush helps us spread awareness to our peers in a concise manner, allowing them to learn more about the benefits of FCCLA.
Verbal spread
Spreading information verbally is yet another way for awareness of FCCLA to be spread. While not exactly an activity, spreading information through word-of-mouth has been practiced since the beginning of humanity, and still proves a useful resource for the acquisition of new members.
Posters
Posters hanging up around the school additionally create awareness about FCCLA. With brief descriptions on our mission, it causes questions to arise that can be answered by our adviser and officers.
