On this day, we built tunnels on a small scale; using model bores and supports to prevent a general collapse of the tunnel, we used several different methodologies to slowly but surely build a well supported tunnel.

On this day, we built suspension bridges and techniques used to balance tension in ropes and reduce compression on the bottom of the bridge.
The suspension of cables overhead the actual bridge enables the bridge to hold large amounts of weight while being able to span large distances.
