Home and House!
In the English language or any language that refers to it, this two words are sometimes or almost always expressed the same by many, but in reality there is a difference of sort.
A House is defined or refers to a building in which someone lives. It is a physical structure, a building of sort.
A Home is referred to either a building or any location that a person thinks of the place where she lives and that belongs to his or her. Home is a place where you have an affinity for, a safe haven, a place that you have a connection to, and idea.. once read in the Smithsonian magazine “The Definition of Home, Be it ever so humble, it’s more than just a place. It’s also an idea – one where the heart is”.
So technically you can say that your current house is not your home, and your home can technically be anywhere which is your current house, your apartment, your condo, the beach, the jungle, or that piece of space that you feel safe and happy....
Here in Hawaii.. you can say your home is your Ohana. Your home is where your family is!
