Hein H. Latt, M.D., FAPA

Dr. Latt is an academic psychiatrist with a passion for clinical practice. He is doubly board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in General Psychiatry, and in his area of specialization, Geriatric Psychiatry. He is licensed to practice in the states of New York and California; and is also coded by the New York State Worker's Compensation Board for independent medical examinations (IMEs).

Dr. Latt's multiple years of experience in treating acutely ill patients in New York City adds to his expertise in accurately arriving at diagnoses based on detailed review of symptoms and their timelines. He specializes in understanding the underlying causes of mental health conditions and addressing them in treatment rather than simply providing symptomatic relief. His fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry allows him to practice safe pharmacologic interventions with careful attention to complex medical and psychiatric co-morbidities. His role as a training director of psychiatry residency compels him to maintain the highest level of knowledge in Psychiatry and also fuels his drive to continue improving the field of Psychiatry through education.
