I founded the Ohio State University Hiphop Literacies Conference [OSU HHLC] in 2011 to bring together the various communities in which I am involved: OSU students, scholars, artists, local community members, artists, and educators. AND international students, artists, scholars, and community members. HHLC is about cross¬age, cross¬teaching/learning, cross-cultural, cross disciplinary research methods, and cross-organizational epistemologies, with a focus on issues of Hiphop generation youth and Black and Brown community resources. The goal of this endeavor is to inspire and engage each other, to uplift what has become global Hiphop culture.
