Dear diary,
It has been approximately 9 months since I killed Benjamin Pitezel and claimed life insurance on his body. His wife, Carrie Pitezel, believes that he is still alive (H.H. Holmes, 2017). I have told her that Benjamin wanted to see the children so I could have an alibi for fleeing town. The police are on to me. I am planning on going to Toronto (Mallick, 2010), I have made headlines for “convoluntary insurance fraud."
Madam Pitezel has left me with three out of five of her children (H.H. Holmes, 2017). Right now we are on a train about to be in Detroit. We have stopped in Cincinnati and Indianapolis; after Detroit our next stop is Toronto. I have told the children to refer to me as their Uncle to avoid suspicion. There is 15 year old Alice, 11 year old Nellie, and 8 year old Howard (Borowaski, n.d.). I am planning to dispose of them once in Toronto so they do not cause a hindrance in my plan. They all think they are going to see their papa, however they will most likely be six feet under or cremated in the fire place once I buy my temporary home in Toronto. I will not being staying their for long. With the police on my case I do not believe that I can even have my identity that I have now. If so they might take me back to the states and put me on trial, where they might find out about my murder castle (if they already have not). If they do, or should I say when they do, they will open old cases and track them back to my castle (Torontoist, 2014).
H.H. Holmes
End notes: This piece is used to show the probable thinking of H.H. Holmes during his train ride with the Pitezel siblings and why he decided to murder them. I used the sources of H.H. Holmes Documentary, biography.com, www.thestar.com, torontoist.com in an attempt to try to decifer Holmes' mentality.

End notes: This piece is used to show how H.H. Holmes was a heartless man, who could kill children with ease. This piece also explains how the sisters died and what the situation with Howard was. I used the sources of www.findagrave.com, torontoist.com, www.thestar.com, and www.biography.com to exemplify how Holmes carried out these pediatric murders.
