Héctor García de Marina
Research fellow at the Faculty of Physics, Department of Computer Architecture and Automatic Control
Universidad Complutense de Madrid
I defended my PhD thesis in Distributed formation control algorithms for autonomous robots at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in 2016 (Top 3 university in Europe in Automatio&Control according to Shanghai ranking 2019!). From 2016 and until the end of 2017, I held a postdoctoral position at the École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile in Toulouse where I focused my research on swarms of aerial unmanned vehicles while contributing to Paparazzi, the open-source autopilot. From February 2018 until March 2020, I was an Assistant professor in the Unmanned Aerial Systems Center at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. Since April 2020, I am a research fellow under the program Atracción de Talento cofunded by the government of the Autonomous Community of Madrid and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
