HG Bocce - Tournaments Signups

Herons Glen Bocce Tournaments

There are 4 tournaments played annually. Participation is open to all residents in Herons Glen, there is no fee for participating in the tournament.

The tournaments are held on a Saturday and are a fun social event, with a BBQ lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers catered by the Herons Glen Restaurant available for purchase.

To participate in the tournaments you can sign up online, see links below. Signing up is very easy, just click on the link below for the tournament you want to sign up for, complete the form and click on Submit.

Please Note: If you have previously signed up for a Tournament, and subsequently have to cancel - please submit the form again with the "Cancellation" option selected.

Alternatively a binder will be made available in the Reception area of the Club House for manual sign up.

Snowbirds vs. Sunbirds

This tournament, held in January, pitches Herons Glen Snowbirds against Herons Glen Sunbirds in a fun day of bocce. Sign up is required and teams are put together by the tournament coordinators.

The Feud

This tournament, held in February, features two friends, Tom Schneider and Larry Cummings, as friendly rivals in a fun day of bocce. Sign up is required, teams are put together by the tournament coordinators, and playing for each team is not uncommon. Nor is playing more than one game, depending on which team is in need.

Men vs. Women

This tournament, held in March, is a battle of the sexes in a fun day of bocce. Sign up is required, and teams are put together by the tournament coordinators. The women are usually all wearing yellow in solidarity and a fun day is had by all.

Historic vs. Outback

This tournament, held in April, pits the front or “Historic” area of the Glen with the back or “Outback” for a great day of bocce. Sign up is required and teams are put together by the tournament coordinators. This is the last bocce tournament of the season before the snow birds leave.
