Skill cards are one of the main progression systems in Hexwheel.
Throughout your adventure, you can discover treasure chests containing skill cards that provide powerful enhancements, passive effects, and special abilities.
Cards are divided into different rarity tiers:
Bronze Cards: Provide useful enhancements and bonuses.
Silver Cards: Offer additional opportunities to strengthen your character.
Gold Cards: Contain powerful upgrades and special effects.
When presented with skill cards, review their descriptions and choose the upgrade that best fits your strategy.
Some cards improve existing statistics, while others provide unique abilities that can change how you approach combat.
Your character has several important statistics that influence gameplay.
Strength: Improves your character's offensive capabilities.
Speed: Influences your character's movement and agility.
Health: Determines how much damage your character can withstand.
Fortune: Influences luck-related gameplay mechanics and bonuses.
Certain skill cards can enhance these statistics, allowing you to create different character builds.
Choosing the right combination of upgrades can make a significant difference as stages become more challenging.
Skill cards can be discovered through treasure chests and other available gameplay rewards.
When a skill card becomes available:
Collect or interact with the available reward.
Review the skill card and its effects.
Choose your preferred upgrade when prompted.
Continue your adventure with your newly acquired abilities.
Experiment with different skill combinations to discover strategies that work best for your playstyle.
If your character runs out of health or fails to survive an encounter, your current run may end.
From the Game Over screen, you can choose to:
Retry: Start another attempt.
Restart: Begin the game again.
Home: Return to the main menu.
Each new attempt offers another opportunity to experiment with skill cards, improve your strategy, and progress further.
Hexwheel features increasingly challenging stages designed to test your combat skills and adaptability.
As you progress:
Enemies become more challenging.
New enemy types and attack patterns may appear.
You encounter different environments and obstacles.
Your accumulated upgrades become increasingly important.
Survival requires better positioning, timing, and strategy.
Keep improving your build and adapting to each stage to progress further.
Hexwheel features a variety of fantasy-inspired enemies, including distinctive orb-shaped creatures with different appearances, movement patterns, and combat behaviors.
Some enemies may move aggressively toward your character, while others create additional challenges through their attacks or movement.
Pay attention to enemy behavior, avoid incoming damage, and use your abilities strategically.
