Established in 2003, originally under the name Shattered Dreams Productions (SDP), the team behind Hexen Pictures have worked in Film, Television & New Media with budgets of all ranges for over 2 decades. Independent filmmakers at heart, Hexen’s goal has always been to create compelling stories that are both entertaining to modern audiences and authentic to fans of the horror genre.

Our team is ever evolving and always on the look out for collaborators who like to push boundaries while having extreme admiration for horror & sci-fi. From development to delivery and even social media marketing, we have worked at almost every stage of production. The creatives behind Hexen have also been fortunate enough to work with amazing collaborators such as Universal Pictures, Sony, Paramount Pictures, Blumhouse, A24, and Crypt TV with development, production and marketing of various projects due to our understanding and passion for the genre.

Hexen Pictures has a vision to create the kind of horror films that have inspired us since the inception of horror in cinema. Our influences can be felt as far back as Murnau's Nosferatu (1922) to as modern as Egger's Nosferatu (2024). From "Arthouse Horror" to "Grindhouse Slashers" we love creating stories that can be fun and gory while also making others that can be intellectually disturbing. All the while, we continue to have a great respect to the industry, so we always support our team by providing the best environment to create. With our roots deep in independent filmmaking, we also don’t mind getting a little dirty to tell a good, compelling, scary story.
