Hexbug mods are selected for the Hall of Fame by consensus of a community made up of around 15 people, the majority of which are Hexbug builders.
To vote, they must select the robots that you want in the Hall and list them (preferably in alphabetical order). Then, Electors must send your ballot to the user responsible for receiving them. A ballot may include as many robots as the they would like. A valid ballot must include at least 10 robots, but it is heavily recommended they add in more than that.
- If a robot appears in 50% or more of the ballots, it will receive full membership role in the Hall.
- If a robot appears in 25% or more of the ballots, but does not cross the 50% line, it will receive a honorable mention role in the Hall.
Honorable mentions may be selected for future votes, as they are still eligible for reaching full membership.
When selecting mods for your ballot, they consider the following criteria:
- Dominating success in combat;
- Pioneering or perfecting designs
- Having great fan or entertainment appeal; or
- Otherwise leaving a lasting impact on the community.
A robot is valid for the Hall of Fame if;
It is operated using an official, unmodified Hexbug remote.
It is modified from the stock form in a significant way.
