Ocean Man is a “tower vert” style vertical spinner made from a Bite Force. It was first made in 2020 inspired by another mod from JR robotics, where it used a Lego blade and Lego supports, until it was redesigned to run with a 3D printed disc and has used that same disc since the change.
Ocean Man’s significance comes from the insane power that came from its redesigns in 2021, in which it was given a beefy motor that made it one of the strongest spinners in the Hexbug community. The beefy version of Ocean Man underwent many renovations and changes in batteries and motors to keep its reliability until it was ultimately reduced back to a stock motor for RKS7 and Robot Madness. It recently had its weapon motor improved again to a Hypershock weapon motor to give some of its insane power a boost again while staying reliable.
Ocean Man competed in every major KR tournament since Karnage Cup 2, winning that tournament as well as Robot Khaos Season 6, where it went undefeated en route to a title. It is set up as a regional #1 seed for Robot Madness and is poised to attempt another deep run.
