HEUNGRYEL LEE IS A SEOUL-BASED ARTIST WHOSE HANDMADE WORK IS CHARACTERIZED BY ARTISTIC THINKING AND AN EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN APPROACH. 

I majored in Industrial Design at Myongji University and broadened my design perspectives as an exchange student at l’école de design Nantes Atlantique. I further developed my experimental approach to material and form while working at Maarten de Cealuer Studio in Belgium and Kwang Ho Lee Studio in Seoul.

My work is rooted in exploration and transformation. I reinterpret, combine, and alter everyday materials to reveal new possibilities. Through my creations, I seek to uncover strangeness within familiarity, evoking moments of surprise and poetic resonance.

I have received multiple awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the Korean Design Competition, and have participated in various group exhibitions in Belgium and internationally.
