About me

I'm Heshani Edirisinghe, I work as an ecologist. I completed my PhD at Massey University in 2021. I was a member of the Invertebrate Communication, Ecology and Evolution Lab.

I am originally from Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with fabulous beaches, rocky mountains and an amazing wildlife.

I came to New Zealand to do my PhD in biology and behaviour of New Zealand ladybirds, following my passion for insects and their ecology.

My supervisors were Dr Anne Wignall and Prof James Dale from Massey University and Dr Rich Leschen from Manaaki Whenua (Landcare Research).

I am interested in investigating animal behaviour, quantitative ecology and invasive biology of flora and fauna.
