HERVOICE

we hope, we believe, we will.

MISSION STATEMENT

HERVOICE is a registered nonprofit organization founded in 2023 dedicated to raising awareness and funds for domestic violence victims. The issue of domestic violence is increasingly prevalent, as well as the stigma surrounding it—and HERVOICE attempts to break this stigma down, gathering funds to assist victims in gaining access to financial support, legal aid, and essential amenities such as shelter. HERVOICE focuses on bringing awareness to domestic violence, making sure that victims feel safe and comfortable in talking about their experiences and most importantly—reaching out for help.

WHAT HAS HERVOICE DONE RECENTLY?

HERVOICE started out as a simple community project at Stone Bridge High School, where Sukhi and Rithika wanted to raise awareness and support the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter. They started their podcast, Her Voice, Her Story on Spotify, garnering stories from victims to give listeners a safe space and the victims a place to share their knowledge and story. They were able to raise almost $2000 in the span of three months through having a Purple Out basketball game, selling shirts, and donations. They hope to continue this in the future.
