Growing up in Coon Rapids, MN. I was surrounded by Labrador retrievers and Yorkshire Terriers, which sparked my lifelong passion for the animal care industry. Over the years, I have bred Chocolate Labradors and have always believed that every dog deserves to be treated with respect and care as if they were my own.
In 2019, I moved to Aitkin, MN, where my family now consists of three dogs: Fannie, a 14-year-old Chocolate Labrador; Kassidy, a 13-year-old Rottweiler/Chow mix; and Nelli, a 1-year-old Chocolate Labrador. I also have two cats, Betty and Bamm-Bamm. This move to Aitkin significantly influenced my business, as it provided me with the opportunity to establish a dog boarding kennel in a community that values their pets and wants the best for them. The serene environment of Aitkin allows me to offer a safe, fun, and loving space for dogs to thrive and enjoy their time away from home.
At the kennel, we ensure that every dog in boarding or daycare is socializing and playing with other dogs as much as possible. I believe that active engagement throughout the day is essential for their well-being
Hi! I'm Jadey (Jay-dee), and I am a dedicated dog daycare and kennel attendant and all-around animal enthusiast at all times.
I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. When I was young, I would rent every library book I could so that I could learn about all the different animals. I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with as many individual animals as possible. More than that though, I knew that working with dogs was my calling. I rented every breed-specific book I could find and ultimately, went to school for Animal Health and Behavior. I received my Bachelor's degree from Unity College and graduated with the highest possible honors. I received my Master's Degree from Unity College as of 2025, for Wildlife Ecology and Management.
The best part about my job is ensuring the dogs have safe, friendly interactions by being the pack leader and connecting to each dog in the group individually. I constantly mediate the group by reading each dog's body language and strive to provide the pack with calm, assertive leader energy. I have been working in this setting (pet services) for over ten years, and I still love it just as much as when I started.
I work hard to ensure I provide the best possible care for every animal I meet. I have had five dogs of my own thus far: Dusty, a lab, Loki, a Texas Heeler mix, Violet, an Aussie/Border collie/Bully mix, Jethro, an unknown mix, and my dear Maven, a Sheltie. I plan to have more in the future.
I love each of my dogs so very much, even if they live on just in memory in some cases (Dusty and Maven). My dogs are like my children, and I strive to provide that sort of love to each of my dog clients to some degree.
