NOTE: It does not matter what country you live in- these courses are for you! Only a miniscule number of lessons are USA-centric. All of our courses are about global herpetology and conservation!
The Herpetology Collective currently offers youth and adult programs.
Both programs have units covering the following topics:
Unit I. Introduction to Reptiles & Amphibians
Unit II. Living with Wildlife (Reducing Human-Animal Conflicts)
Unit III. Classification & Diversity
Unit IV. Biology, Physiology & Reproduction
Unit V. Natural History
Unit VI. Reptile & Amphibian Conservation Concerns
Unit VII. Reptile & Amphibian Observation: Ethics & Techniques
Unit VIII. Scientific Methods
Unit IX. Volunteering & Interpretation
The courses consist of approximately sixty hours of learning, divided between written lessons, video lessons, self-led fieldwork, and volunteering. Students may start the course immediately and complete the program at their own pace, whether that be two weeks or two years.
After completing the requirements and passing the final exam, students will receive an elegant certificate of completion that they may add to their resume or hang on the wall.
Good News! All of the courses below include a financing option (provided through PayPal).

UPCOMING COURSE!
Certified Herpetological Interpreter
(Hybrid Learning Instructor)
One of our next goals is to complete development on our Certified Herpetological Interpreter course. Students of this program will gain advanced knowledge of how to teach and interpret our natural heritage to the public.
CHI graduates will be eligible to teach portions of the THC courses in person and retain a portion of the tuitions from those students who attend their workshops as part of our Hybrid Learning Program.
Drop us a line at hivemind@herpcollective.org to be notified as soon as we open enrollment for this exciting program.
Once certified, graduates are under no further obligation, but are encouraged to continue taking part in The Herpetology Collective's mission by becoming a member of THC. Members maintain their standing in the Collective by receiving continuing education and logging volunteer hours annually.
