Hero Dawn: The Shadow of Peace is a fantasy.
It’s a story that takes place in a gilded age where the bombast of Gatsby meets the
wonder and magic of Tolkien and Harry Potter. It shows the comfort bubble of a
privileged society and the dark dangers looming around it. It’s an adventure about
the pursuit of purpose against the preposterous pull that the past has on us. But at its heart, Hero Dawn is a story of friendship, love and heroism:
The STORY follows Bastius Bloome, The Merchant Lord of Anthem and a former
Sentry, who’s been missing at sea for two years. Bastius mysteriously returns to themainland to find that Calla, the love of his life, has moved on. Filled with heartache, trauma, and gaps in his memory, he relies on his best friend, Tristian Carlyle, to keep from going over the edge.
After a set of murders and disappearances, Bastius and Tristian are pulled into an
investigation where memories return and the truth lost at sea unfolds. Led by the
legendary Sentry, Gilles Galliard, Bastius and his companions set out on a journey
through vineyards, ballrooms, haunted houses and caverns, facing mobsters and
bounty hunters, pirates and cowboys, mothgobs, sklizards and those who lurk
beneath the shadows, all in an effort to uncover the mystery behind the Shadow of Peace.

Hero Dawn: The Shadow of Peace is his literary debut: a sweeping, emotionally charged fantasy that blends the grandeur of Tolkien with the moral introspection of modern noir. A lifelong student of narrative design, Rincón builds his world of Anthem not only with swords and shadows, but with questions of legacy, peace, and what comes after the war ends. He lives in Miami, where he continues to develop multimedia stories rooted in character, courage, and consequence.
