If you want a dedicated, rugged travel case to protect your wired studio headphones from bumps and scratches on the go, choose Hermitshell Hard Travel Case; if you need a direct replacement shell kit to repair or refresh a cracked Beats Studio 3 without buying new headphones, choose Adhiper Studio3. These two products sit in completely different categories of audio accessories, yet both aim to solve specific problems for headphone owners. One is an external armor for storage and transport, while the other is an internal and external skin for restoration and cosmetic repair. Understanding this fundamental difference is the only way to make the right choice without wasting money on the wrong part.
• Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: Offers solid EVA protection with a custom fit for over-ear studio monitors, but it is strictly a storage solution that does not contain the headphones themselves.
• Adhiper Studio3: Provides a complete inner and outer shell repair kit to fix damaged units, but requires technical skill to install and is limited to one specific model.
• Who should buy Hermitshell: DJs, producers, and travelers who own compatible wired headphones like the OneOdio A70 and need a safe place to store them in a bag.
• Who should buy Adhiper: Owners of Beats Studio 3 headphones whose ear cups are cracked, broken, or worn out who want to extend the life of their device cheaply.
The Hermitshell Hard Travel Case is designed with a singular purpose: to act as a protective fortress for your gear while it is in transit. If you are a musician, a DJ, or an audiophile who carries heavy, wired over-ear headphones like the OneOdio A70 or similar studio monitor sets, this case addresses the constant threat of damage in a backpack or carry-on luggage. The construction uses Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), a material known for its durability and shock absorption. This isn't just a soft pouch; it is a hard-shell enclosure that shields your expensive equipment from the inevitable bumps, dents, and scratches that happen when you are moving between gigs, studios, or airports.
The dimensions of the interior are listed at 7.1 inches by 5.8 inches by 3.8 inches. This specific sizing is crucial because it indicates a snug fit rather than a generic box where headphones might rattle around inside. When you place your headphones into this space, they are held securely, preventing the ear cups from crushing against the walls or the headband from bending under pressure. The exterior features a solid Black+Red theme that fits the aesthetic of many music production tools. It is a straightforward, no-frills design focused entirely on physical protection. However, it is vital to remember that this product is sold as a case only. You must purchase your headphones separately, and any cables or accessories you usually pack with them will need to be added by you, though the compact nature of the case suggests it is best suited for the headphones themselves.
This product is ideal for anyone who values their equipment enough to invest in a dedicated carrier. If you frequently take your studio monitors on the road, the risk of leaving them loose in a gym bag or suitcase is too high. The Hermitshell case mitigates that risk significantly. On the flip side, if you are looking for something to use during active movement like running, this is not the right tool. The case is not water-resistant, meaning rain or sweat exposure could still pose a threat to the contents if the seal is compromised. Furthermore, it is designed for static storage and transport, not for active wear. If your primary goal is to listen to music while jogging, this case will do nothing for your audio experience; it is purely a logistical tool for keeping your gear safe when you aren't using it.

The Adhiper Studio3 is a very different beast entirely. It is not a container for transport; it is a repair kit. This product is specifically engineered for owners of the Beats Studio 3 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones who have suffered physical damage to the unit itself. Over time, the plastic shells of these headphones can crack, become brittle, or suffer from the stress of daily wear. Instead of discarding a perfectly functional pair of headphones because the outer casing is broken, this kit allows you to swap out the damaged parts for brand-new ones. It includes the left and right outer shells along with the corresponding inner shells, effectively giving your headphones a fresh face and structural integrity.
The materials used are described as high-quality plastic designed to match the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) feel. The goal is to provide a perfect fit that restores the comfort and durability of the headphones. The gray color option offers a clean, neutral look that blends well with the original design language of the Beats Studio 3. This is a cost-effective solution compared to buying a whole new pair of headphones. By replacing just the shells, you avoid the significant expense of a full replacement unit. The package includes everything needed for the visual and structural overhaul, though it explicitly notes that it does not include copper inserts for screws, which are likely already present in your existing hardware.
However, this product comes with a steep learning curve. Installing these shells is not a simple snap-on process. The instructions warn that you must disconnect the internal routes before fitting the new inner shells. This means the user needs some level of technical aptitude and patience. If you are not comfortable taking apart electronics or following complex disassembly steps, this task could be frustrating. Additionally, this solution is locked to a single device model. It has zero utility for any other headphones, whether they are wired, wireless, or from a different brand. It is a niche product for a specific problem: fixing a cracked Beats Studio 3. It is also worth noting that while the warranty description mentions a one-year warranty against defects, the installation complexity remains the biggest hurdle for the average consumer.
• Best for protecting gear during travel → Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: Its EVA construction and custom interior dimensions are built specifically to shield headphones from impact and compression in bags.
• Best for repairing broken hardware → Adhiper Studio3: Only this product solves the issue of cracked ear cups on Beats Studio 3 by providing a full replacement shell set.
• Best for wired studio setups → Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: Designed to accommodate larger over-ear studio monitors like the OneOdio A70, offering a secure home for your mixing gear.
• Best for extending the life of a specific model → Adhiper Studio3: A targeted fix that saves you from buying new headphones if your current pair has cosmetic or structural shell damage.
• Best for ease of use → Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: You simply open the case and place your headphones inside; no tools, no disassembly, and no technical skills required.
• Best for DIY enthusiasts → Adhiper Studio3: Requires removing old components and reconnecting internal wiring, appealing to those who enjoy hands-on repairs.
• Best for outdoor portability → Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: While not water-resistant, the hard shell offers superior protection against rough handling compared to the fragile nature of exposed headphones.
• Best for budget-conscious repairs → Adhiper Studio3: Replacing shells is generally cheaper than purchasing a new pair of premium wireless headphones, provided you can handle the installation.
In my opinion, the choice between these two depends entirely on whether your headphones are currently intact or broken. I would never recommend the Adhiper Studio3 to someone who owns a OneOdio A70 or any other non-Beats headphone, nor would I suggest the Hermitshell case to someone trying to fix a cracked ear cup. They serve fundamentally different masters. If I were looking for a reliable companion for my studio headphones while traveling, perhaps even considering a usb c charging wireless headset for running setup later, I would grab the Hermitshell case immediately for its peace of mind. Conversely, if my Beats Studio 3 had taken a nasty fall and the plastic was shattered, the Adhiper kit would be the logical first step to save the device. For the general buyer who wants to keep their gear safe, the Hermitshell Hard Travel Case is the more universally useful item.
The product notes indicate that installing the inner shell requires disconnecting internal routes, which implies the need for tools and technical knowledge. It is not a simple plug-and-play replacement.
No, the listing clearly states that the sale is for the case only. The headphones and any accessories are sold separately and must be purchased by the buyer.
The compatibility list specifies only the Beats Studio 3 (A1914). It is not stated to be compatible with the Studio Pro or other variations, so checking your exact model number is essential.
