If you want a rugged, purpose-built shell to shield your OneOdio A70 headphones from the rigors of travel and studio life, choose Hermitshell Hard Travel Case; if you need a high-fidelity wired headset with powerful bass and professional-grade sound isolation for streaming or mixing, choose PreSonus HD5.
These two items occupy completely different corners of the audio ecosystem. One is a protective vessel, the other is the listening device itself. Comparing them directly is like asking whether you prefer a sturdy backpack or a high-end laptop—they serve distinct purposes that often overlap only in the context of a complete setup. However, if you are building a streaming kit and trying to decide which component adds the most value to your specific workflow, the distinction becomes critical. You cannot stream audio without the headphones, but you certainly cannot transport your expensive gear safely without the case. Understanding the gap between these two products is the first step toward making a purchase that actually serves your needs as a content creator.
• Hermitshell Hard Travel Case: Its greatest strength is its durable EVA construction designed specifically to fit OneOdio A70 headphones, offering protection against bumps, dents, and scratches during transit. The trade-off is that it contains no electronics, offers no sound quality, and requires you to already own compatible headphones to be useful. This pick is for musicians, DJs, or streamers who already own OneOdio A70s and need reliable storage.
• PreSonus HD5: Its biggest advantage lies in its 50mm neodymium drivers and 15Hz-25kHz frequency range, delivering clear, accurate audio with deep bass perfect for professional monitoring and private listening. The trade-off is its lack of wireless connectivity and its wired-only nature, which limits mobility compared to modern Bluetooth alternatives. This pick is for streamers and audio professionals seeking studio-grade fidelity on a budget.
• Who buys what: If your priority is protecting gear you already have, the Hermitshell case is essential; if your priority is hearing every detail of your stream or mix, the PreSonus HD5 is the core component you need.
The Hermitshell Hard Travel Case is not an audio product in the traditional sense. It is a piece of infrastructure designed to keep your equipment safe. Looking at the specifications, this case is engineered specifically for the OneOdio A70 Wired Over Ear Headphones. The internal dimensions of 7.1 inches by 5.8 inches by 3.8 inches are precise, ensuring a snug fit that prevents the headphones from rattling around inside the box during movement. If you are a streamer who travels between locations, takes your gear to a friend's house for a session, or simply wants to keep your headphones organized in a bag, this case provides a necessary layer of defense.

The material choice here is Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), a substance known for being lightweight yet impact-resistant. At just 0.19 kg, adding this to your carry-on or backpack won't noticeably increase the load, yet it creates a hard shell barrier that soft fabric pouches cannot offer. The design focuses entirely on physical protection rather than acoustic performance. It features a solid Black+Red theme that matches the aesthetic of many DJ and studio headsets, making it look professional when sitting on a desk or in a gear bag.
However, you must understand what this product is not. It does not enhance sound quality, it does not connect to your computer, and it does not provide any active noise cancellation. It is strictly a container. If you do not own the OneOdio A70 or a similarly sized over-ear headphone, this case will likely be too large or the wrong shape for your current gear. It is a single-purpose tool for people who already possess the hardware they need to protect. For the streamer who uses their headphones daily, losing them or having them damaged in a bag would be a disaster, making this case a smart insurance policy for your existing investment.
The PreSonus HD5 represents the actual listening experience. This is a wired, closed-back, over-ear studio recording headphone built for those who need accuracy and comfort over long periods. The core of its appeal lies in the 50mm neodymium drivers. These components are responsible for moving air and creating sound waves, and in this model, they deliver a frequency range spanning from 15Hz to 25kHz. That is a remarkably wide spectrum for a headphone in this category, meaning you will hear the deepest lows and the highest highs with clarity. For someone doing in ear earbuds for streaming or looking for best hifi stereo bluetooth headset for streaming, the HD5 offers a different kind of fidelity—one that prioritizes precision over convenience.
Comfort is another major factor for anyone planning to wear headphones for hours while streaming. The HD5 features articulating earcups that swivel to fit the shape of your head, providing a secure grip. The ear cushions are described as buttery soft, which suggests they are designed to minimize fatigue during extended recording or private listening sessions. The closed-back design also plays a crucial role here. By sealing off the ear cups, the headphones provide passive noise cancellation, blocking out ambient room noise so you can focus entirely on your audio output. This is vital for streamers who need to monitor their own voice and game sounds without external distractions interfering with their concentration.
Connectivity is handled via a wired 3.5mm jack with a 10-foot cable included. While some might view "wired" as a limitation compared to wireless options, the length of this cable gives you significant freedom to move around your streaming setup without tugging on the connection. The impedance is 32 ohms, which is low enough to work effortlessly with a wide variety of devices, including smartphones, laptops, gaming controllers, and professional audio interfaces. This versatility means you don't need a separate amplifier to get good volume or sound quality. If you are serious about the audio quality of your stream and want to ensure your audience hears exactly what you intend, the PreSonus HD5 is a serious contender.
