Ouroboros
Hermella Araya (She/Her) - Hermella participated in another class performance " Ouroboros", Inspired by the legendary serpent that eats its own tail, the cycle of the seasons, life and death: It is a devised work in twelve parts. Starting in the twelfth astrological house, the zodiac sign of Pisces, and moving backwards toward the vernal equinox, the performance explores cyclical form as a lens on the world and our experiences within it.
Ouroboros was constructed in 2 weeks with our 2nd directorial debuts, we worked together to construct a performance that embodied the zodiac signs and the essence they exude. The performers all divided in groups constructed performances ranging from pageant to spoken text to dance performances and Harmonies singing.
