Description: a teacher’s guide to working with Deaf parents and their children is designed for anyone working in schools. Information is provided for teachers, administrators, and additional school staff such as counsellors, integration aides and Outside School Hours Care staff.

The information is intended to give the reader a sense of the cultural and familial experiences of hearing children [Heritage Signers] who grow up in families with Deaf parents. It also aims to increase cultural and linguistic awareness around issues related to hearing children who have Deaf parents
