Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026 (JST)
HeritageMaps respects user privacy and sets out the following policy to protect personal information.
■ Information Collected
This app does not send or store users’ personal information, location information, search history, or operation history to
servers managed by the developer.
This app does not obtain GPS-based current location information.
However, this app uses the Mapbox Maps SDK for map display and Apple MapKit for map search. These external services may
process search terms, visible map area, device information, communication information, usage-related information, and similar
data for map display, search, service operation, quality improvement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.
For information about how Mapbox and Apple handle information, please refer to their privacy policies.
https://www.mapbox.com/legal/privacy
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/apple-maps/
■ Camera
The camera is used only when scanning a shared map QR code. QR codes scanned by the camera are used to restore the map state
displayed in the app.
■ Data Storage and Transmission
Search history, operation history, and other data entered within this app are not sent to or stored on servers managed by the
developer.
Search history is stored on this device so it can be reused in the search screen.
When the user explicitly chooses “Save to iCloud,” the current two-map state (name, latitude and longitude, zoom, pitch,
bearing, map type, overlay state, update date, and related values) is saved to the user’s iCloud and may sync across devices
using the same Apple Account. The same data is also backed up on this device so saved maps can still be listed when iCloud is
unavailable. Up to 100 maps can be saved.
Map states saved through Add Siri Shortcut are stored on this device and in the app group so they can be restored from
Shortcuts. Up to 100 map sets can be saved.
■ Sharing Features
When using sharing features, the app can pass a share URL, QR code, or image containing the current two-map state to other
apps based on the user’s action. Unless the user shares them, this information is not sent to servers managed by the
developer.
■ Network Settings
Satellite maps may use a large amount of data. This app does not manage cellular data access on or off inside the app. It only
provides a link to this app’s page in the standard iOS Settings app.
■ Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated due to changes in laws, regulations, or app features. Any changes will be announced on the website.
